HUGE GORGEOUS WATERVIEW LUXURY HOME
I am Karen, living in our home with my lovely sun Sal ( 6 yrs.) and daughter Rosa ( 3 yrs.). Since 2,5 years we are the first owners of this new built house and I designed it myself. While we are travelling frequently, I am more than happy to share our home with travellers who are visiting Amsterdam.
Lovely house with sunny garden and private parking in the charming IJburg neighbourhood, just 15 minutes from the centre by public transport and 2 minutes away from the highway which leads you to all the suburbs of Amsterdam, and all the places you want to visit in Holland.
For businessman/woman who visits Amsterdam: my house is a 15 minutes drive to the RAI!
You can hire an electric bike and can bike on a scenic safe route to the centre of Amsterdam.
The accommodation is ideal for those looking for relaxation after a busy day exploring Amsterdam. You can enjoy lovely garden and chill out on a sunny day in the garden.
It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room and a kitchen with a view of the water of the IJ. The house can comfortably accommodate up to four adults (only couples) or a family with up to five children, or 3 separate people.
We will provide you with freshly made up beds and towels and map of Amsterdam, some brochures and my own recommendations.
On walking distance you will find a shopping center with supermarkets, bakery, butcher, fishmongers, pharmacy and local restaurants. IJburg's location is not only practical, but it is also beautiful as it is surrounded by water, natural parks and modern architecture and offers very nice restaurants and pubs. For people with kids, there are many playgrounds!
It is also an ideal base from which to explore the city as well as the other must-see sights in the Netherlands, such as Efteling, Edam, Madurodam, Muiderslot, Keukenhof and Zaanse Schans. By foot you can visit the Diemerpark which offers a small city beach. In the summer, you can swim in the lake or go to the harbor to rent a sailing boat, surf gear or a wakeboard.
In the winter, when the temperatures can go below 0, you can skate on ice on the canals of IJburg. For the sporty types, you can have a great run/ hike along the waterside.
Amsterdam city center is only fifteen minutes by tram which runs every six minutes from early morning to just after midnight. The night bus runs from 1:00 pm throughout the night. During the week once an hour, on weekends once every half hour. We offer one free private parking spot for the car.
The spacious living/dining area includes a large dining table and access to the garden with comfortable seating.
The brand new kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm including a dishwasher, a Quooker, an oven, a steam oven and a very good coffee beans machine.
The master bedroom and bathroom with bath and separate shower are located on the first floor.
On the 2nd floor, there are a further 2 bedrooms and another bathroom with shower. All bedrooms have blackout blinds. One of the bedrooms has a Kingsize bed, one has a double sofa bed and the third comes with 2 single beds (see photo).
A toddler bed and baby cot are also available.
