An apartment for two, the stunning terrace of Vera ed il Verveceoverlooks the sea, close enough to taste the salt air and feel the sea breeze. Imagine relaxing with a glass of wine as the sun sets, the waters tinted crimson as far as the eye can see.
The village of Marina della Lobra is an ancient fishing marina, with records dating back to when it was used as a summer residence by patricians of Ancient Rome. The harbour is as peaceful today, with fishing boats bobbing in the waves and a relaxed atmosphere. It is possible to rent a boat to reach bays and inlets that would otherwise be difficult to reach.
There are tree-lined roads with ancient olive trees and a lovely church dedicated to Madonna della Lobra dating back to the sixteenth century, one of the most noteworthy on the Sorrento Peninsula. Here, inhabitants offered money and prayers in the hope of the safe return of sailors and fishermen.
Vera ed il Vervece offers stylish and well designed accommodation. There are beautiful azure blue floor tiles throughout, echoing the waters just outside. The main living area has a sleeping, dining and living area. There are artistic touches throughout, such as the quirky metalwork bed headboard. The dining table for two sits before an arched window with lovely views and there is a wicker rocking chair for relaxing in.
The apartment has an air conditioning system, and there is an internet Wifi connection.
There are double doors leading onto your private terrace where there are two tables with chairs. From here, the sea waters can be so clear it is possible to look straight to the sea bed.
The kitchenette has a gas hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and mocha coffee maker. There is an ironing board and iron. The bathroom has a roomy enclosed shower, wash basin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer.
Parking is provided, with a reserved parking space just 200m from the house in the private car park of a restaurant, which has a cost of 10 euro per day.
Should you wish to explore further afield, Massa Lubrense has much to offer. There are more than 100km of marked countryside trails, wonderful restaurants and a coastline almost twenty miles long. Or why not visit the island of Capri, Positano or Pompeii? However you choose to relax, Vera ed il Vervece will offer you a home from home during your stay.
